Unfreezable Metroids are a genetically-engineered Metroid variant that appear in Metroid: Other M. These creatures were created by the Galactic Federation as the ultimate bio-weapon. As the name implies, these Metroids were genetically augmented to withstand cold, the mortal weakness of the Metroid species. Aside from the overly-destructive Power Bombs, no weapon could harm these creatures.
