SCP-087-1 is a creature of unknown origin living on SCP-087 - an unending staircase. All those who enter SCP-087 can hear a crying child roughly 200 metres down, which seems to descend at the same speed as the person descending. The crying child is possibly SCP-087-1 trying to lure them in, although this is yet to be confirmed. It stalks people down SCP-087, usually appearing in front of the person. Four of the SCP's D-class personnel have entered SCP-087. Three of them have submitted reports that can be freely accessed, all of which are linked below.

SCP-087-1 has ambushed the D-class personnel in all of the three reports linked above. The third, who it ambushed from behind, ending up passing out lower down. The peculiar thing is that the creature did not stare at the personnel as it did with the previous two, but instead looked directly at the camera, as if it were looking at those viewing the video feed directly, instead of the intruder. The person from the third report is presumed dead, as she never made it back before the audio and video feeds cut out and they were never re-established. The fourth report mentioned has not been made available. The reason given is not specified, suggesting that something may have happened that forced the Foundation's O5 Council to revoke security clearance to all members below the highest levels of administration to this specific document.
