Nidoking is a Poison/Ground type Pokémon and the final evolution of the male Nidoran. It is said to be among the most aggressive and physically powerful of all Pokémon.

Oddly enough, the mammalian Nidoran evolves into an entirely different genus; Nidoking appears to be reptilian, possessing a rough, scaly hide covering its body. This dense hide serves as a natural armour against attacks and the spikes running down its back are also highly toxic, poisoning any foe that touches them.
Nidoking's horn is unnaturally hard and is said to be capable of piercing through solid diamond. Its tremendous raw strength can allow it to topple structures such as steel transmission towers.

- Thrash - Nidoking throws a violent tantrum that heavily damages the opponent but will also leave itself confused.
- Megahorn - Nidoking charges its foe with its super-hard horn, dealing heavy damage.
- Earthquake - An attack that causes the ground to rip open and swallow the opponent.
- Bulldoze - Nidoking strikes everything around it by stomping down on the ground.
