Hunters are a variety of Special Infected from the Left 4 Dead video games. Recognised by the hooded sweatshirts they wear, these mutants are stronger and faster than Common Infected and capable of pouncing at prey from considerable distances. Their main method of engaging survivors is by targeting those that stray from the group, lunging at them when their guard is down and then ripping them to shreds with their clawed hands. It is possible to knock a Hunter off of its victim with a melee attack, but action must be taken fast as the Hunter is quick in killing its prey.
