A Giant made of rope

Giants are arguably the most well known magical creature, alongside Goblins and Unicorns. They have stature that is typically up to 20 times that of a Human and immense strength.

Some say giants breath fire. Some giants have great magical powers. Size vary(yet always huge.) how big exactly they are depends on the mythology or who is telling the story. Common hieghts are 20 feet to 500 feet. Some stories say they are stupid while others say they are smart.

Jötunn

According to Norse mythology, they are called Jötunn and precede both the gods and humanity. Some of Odin's sons are known to be half-Giant including but not limited to: Thor and Vidar. The norse also said that Midgard, or Earth, was built from Ymir's remains. No Giants are known to live outside of Jötunheimr. In norse myth giants are wiser then gods. One of the wisest being the Mimer. This giant gaurds a natural fountian under the ash tree Yggdrasil. The water is said to make you the wisest man alive.
